Apply now to vend at the Late Fall Indoor Market

There are two more markets left in the regular season.  It looks like we will get some real Fall weather for these last two, so be prepared to shop outside.  One of the things that I love the most about shopping at a farmers' market is the connection to fresh air and the elements.  That being said, I am very pleased to extend the season with an indoor market, where we can be warm and still buy super fresh, local food.

The indoor market will take place on the first three Wednesdays of November and December at the Cove Community Center from 3-7 pm.  There will be great food, produce, music, and art.  We are also working on more kids activities, since there won't be any trees to climb or hula hoops inside.

Take a moment to check out the Cove Community Center.  They are our community leaders and partners in promoting a simpler, more sustainable, community driven life.  They also offer a Fresh Catch pick up and Farmers' to You pick up on Wednesdays.  You can sign up for a Fall share with Fresh Catch up until October 26.

If you are an interested vendor, or just curious about the Fall Indoor Market, please us the link here to download/view the application.  Space is limited so apply now.  Preference will be given to agricultural vendors.

Upcoming Market News

Welcome back the Fried Pipers to this Monday's market, Oct. 15!
The Compost station will be open during the market.

How far does your food travel?
The market is organizing a short bike ride from The Food Project to the Farmers' Market.  The ride is 3.6 miles and will take about 25 minutes.   A strawberry from California travels 1000 times that distance!  Let's celebrate the last day of the outdoor market season by acknowledging the how lucky we are to have farmland right here in Beverly.  If you are interested in the Last Market Day Ride please email  Thank you!

Three More Outdoor Markets Left!

Come down to the Beverly Farmers' Market today from 3-7 pm.  There are only three market days left in our regular season.
What's in Season?
The Fall Harvest has begun.  You will see more Winter Squashes, such as Delicata and Butternut.  Both are great for roasting.  Did you know that certain greens like Lettuce and Spinach are happier now that the weather has cooled down?  You will still find scallions and radishes.

Corn, Celery, Cucumbers, Peppers, and Tomatoes are all slowing down now, so if you see them this week indulge!

Kids Fun Today!
We are lucky to have some volunteers from Beverly High School today who will be face painting after story time.

The Compost station will be open from 3-7 pm

Our musical guest today is Eric Goldberg from 4-6 pm.  He is an avid market shopper, makes a mean salsa, and is an amazing local jazz musician.

Enjoy the fall sunshine at the market today, shop for your health, shop for your local farmers.
